According to the Decree 133/2015, the Canary islands Government regulates the vacation rental.
To ensure that this activity is legal and authorized, the owner of the property must obtain a license to the desk.
Keep in mind:
– The license of house desk may be denied if your property is on the side of a hotel (very close) or if the community does not allow this permission to be able to rent the property for tourism purposes.
– The breach of the terms set forth in the Law on Tourism, it qualifies as "very serious". It could impose fines ranging between 30,000 and 300,000 euros to the owner and the agent acting on behalf of the owner.
– It is considered to be holiday Rental stays of short duration, any length less than 3 months. In the event that the stay exceeds three months is not considered tourist rental, and requires a different type of contract.
TIP:
Do not rent the property while applying for the license of opening.
